Who doesn’t love a bit of arts & crafts. Grab yourself a Jumbo creation box from Officeworks, some coloured paper and a hat (or some bigger paper to create a head band) and get gluing! Or, if you would prefer, there are many different printable options available online.
* It’s a good idea to head outdoors for this activity, or set-up an area in the house with newspaper, as things could get a bit messy!

Egg Roulette
This may come across as a strange activity, but it also has a strange way of making its way back each year at family gatherings. Here’s how it works…
- 1 person needs to be in charge of the eggs (top secret job) – let’s call them the ‘Egg Manager’
- The egg manager seeks volunteers to participate in the game
- The egg manager is to prepare the number of eggs to match the number of participants
- To prepare the eggs, boil all eggs except 1, leaving 1 raw
- Once the boiled eggs are cooked, place all eggs (including the raw 1) in the fridge to cool until the game is about to start
- When the game is about to start, all participants are to gather in a circle
- The Egg Manager let’s each participant choose an egg
- Once everyone has an egg, they hold it to their head, ready to smash the egg on their forehead
- The Egg Manager counts down from 3 – 3, 2, 1…
- On 1 the participants smash the eggs on their head … 1 unlucky participant ends up with egg on their face!

Homemade Playdough
If your playdough is looking a little tired or it’s gone a bit brown after the kids have mixed all the colours together – why not make your own and get the kids involved to create a colourful Easter themed collection. There are many recipes online and we have found this one that might be worth giving a try.
-
Easter Basket
Get creative and make your own Easter baskets to use at the local Easter Egg hunt or in your backyard … or even a handmade gift idea with a few treats inside. We found some cute printable baskets here.

An Easter Egg Hunt
Of course, it wouldn’t be Easter without an egg hunt. Buy your Easter treats, hide them in the back/front yard or around the house when the kids aren’t looking (or while the kids are sleeping) then set the kids, and big kids alike, loose to hunt for the eggs. And… Enjoy!
Stay safe and have a joyous Easter weekend.
